Welcome to the 2027 NJATA Art Show! 
 
This is NJATA's second juried art show.

We are now accepting submissions for the 2027 art show! Please read the following information and enter your submissions by February 1, 2027.
 

Theme: Courage in Color

Courage comes in many forms. It can be found in vulnerability, healing, resilience, advocacy, identity, hope, and transformation. This year's exhibition invites you to explore what courage means to you and express it through your unique artistic voice.

Whether you are an art therapist, student, or artist, we invite you to create and share an original piece inspired by this year's theme. Together, we'll celebrate the creativity, strength, and healing power of art within our community.

Important Dates

• Submission Deadline: February 1, 2027

• Virtual Juried Art Exhibition Begins: Art Therapy Week – March 2027

Submission Requirements

To be considered, all submissions must be completed in full through the Google Submission Form and include:

• Title of the artwork

• Medium/materials used

• Year created

• Artist statement (maximum 250 words)

• A high-resolution JPEG image of the artwork (minimum 1600 × 1200 pixels, 72 dpi)

• File name formatted as: LastName_Title_Year.jpeg

Please be sure to upload your artwork as part of the submission form. Incomplete submissions cannot be entered into the exhibition.

Artwork Eligibility

All artwork must:

• Be an original work created by the submitting artist.

• Be inspired by this year's theme, Courage in Color.

• Have been created within the past two years.

• Not have been previously exhibited in an NJATA Art Show.

• Not contain AI-generated imagery or artwork created using generative artificial intelligence.

• Be appropriate for public viewing and suitable for audiences of all ages.

Exhibition Information

Once your completed submission has been received, your artwork will be included in the 2027 NJATA Virtual Juried Art Exhibition during Art Therapy Week in March, provided it meets the submission requirements outlined above.

Entry Fees

• Free for current NJATA members

• $10 per artwork for non-members (payment instructions will be provided within the submission form)
